‘Despite’ সরাসরি noun বা gerund-এর আগে বসে; এর পরে ‘of’ লাগে না। আবার ‘insist’-এর সঙ্গে appropriate preposition হলো ‘on’। তাই ‘Despite my protests, he insisted on paying the bill’ সঠিক।
